The two artists share a similar path to stardom. A former guitar phenom, Lang is most noted for his soulful voice, and guitar solos. When only 13 years old his voice was compared to that of a much older bluesman. Looking back at the early photos and videos, it was hard to imagine that a voice that mature and soulful could come from such a young man. Lang has long been established as a favorite of much older accomplished artists and has toured with the likes of B.B. King, Buddy Guy, Jeff Beck and the Rolling Stones to name a few. Lang was asked by Eric Clapton to participate in the Crossroads Guitar Festival in 2004.

Kenny Wayne Shepherd began honing his skills as a guitarist at the age of seven after meeting Stevie Ray Vaughn. KWS is completely self taught and has been influenced by many great guitarists. Stevie Ray Vaughn, Eric Clapton, B.B. King and many others. At the age of thirteen Sheppard was invited to play onstage by Bryan Lee a New Orleans bluesman. It was then, that KWS decided that music was what he would do. Led by his father, KWS was helped along with his father’s contacts in the music business and a star was born. His first album, Leadbetter Heights sold over 500,000 copies by 1996. Very few blues records achieve that kind of success, let alone by a teenager. To have these two accomplished veterans joining forces and touring together is a dream come true for any fan of blues guitarists. Don’t miss this once in a lifetime opportunity to see two great artists together for the first time.
