Dancing With The Stars, Live in Indianapolis, Review and Photos
The stars were shining bright in Indianapolis last night, but none more so than the dazzling dancers of the Dancing With the Stars 2024 tour. The show, hosted by the charming Emma Slater, featured some of the more memorable routines from the hit TV series, as well as some new surprises that delighted the audience. This sold-out performance at the Murat Theatre at Old National Cener in Indianapolis, Indiana was highly anticipated by local fans, and they voiced their elation over seeing their favorite dancers in person.
Featuring professional dancers Alan Bersten, Britt Stewart, Brandon Armstrong, Daniella Karagach, Gleb Savchenko, Pasha Pashkov, Rylee Arnold and Artem Chigvintsev, along with special celebrity guest star Charity Lawson, who was a finalist on this season’s DWTS show with her pro partner Artem.
The show started with a spectacular group number set to Rosemary Clooney’s rendition of “Sway” bellowing from the speakers to get everyone in the mood for what was to come over the next two hours. While the show’s central focus was on the exceptional dance performances, they also kept everything varied throughout to keep the audience engaged. A wide range of music was used from both vintage and modern eras, and the dancing style and tempo would change along with each song. During a break in the music, Emma interviewed Charity Lawson about her time on Dancing with the Stars.
The show was a perfect balance of fun and emotion, with each dancer getting a chance to showcase their own style. Especially notable was Artem and Charity’s performance of a fiery paso doble.
This writer’s favorite was the Tango beautifully performed by Pasha and Daniella showing their emotional connectivity and demonstrating the tension of love, passion and seduction.
The music was diverse, including Michael Jackson’s Smooth Criminal, Many Are Stars I see, But in My Eye No Star Like Thee by Ursine Vulpine and Annaca, a song by John Mayer, and The Promise by Tracy Chapman.
The show also had some interactive elements, such as a hilarious Match game parody where an audience member provided howls of laughter from the crowd.
At the final dance, the crowd rose for a standing ovation and cheered for more. The dancers took their final bows and thanked the fans for their support and love.
The Dancing With the Stars 2024 tour was a night to remember for anyone who loves dance and entertainment. It was a showcase of talent, passion and joy that left everyone feeling inspired and happy. If you have a chance to catch this tour in your city, don’t miss it. It’s a must-see for any DWTS fan.
