Donavon Frankenreiter to appear at Extra Innings Festival, weekend 2

Donavon Frankenreiter is not your typical surf-rock musician. He is a former professional surfer who turned to music after a career-ending injury. He has a distinctive style that blends acoustic guitar, soulful vocals, and laid-back grooves. His songs are inspired by his love for the ocean, nature, and travel.

Frankenreiter has released nine albums since his debut in 2004, collaborating with artists like Jack Johnson, Ben Harper, and G. Love. His latest album, Bass & Drum Tracks, is a stripped-down collection of instrumental tracks that showcase his guitar skills and musical versatility. He recorded the album in his home studio in Hawaii, using only a bass guitar, a drum machine, and a loop pedal.

Frankenreiter is currently on tour, playing intimate shows in venues across the US and Europe. He is known for his engaging live performances, where he interacts with the audience and invites them to sing along. He also sells his own merchandise, including hats, shirts, and surfboards, at his shows.

Donavon Frankenreiter is a rare breed of artist who combines talent, passion, and authenticity. He is a true ambassador of surf culture and a musical gem that deserves more recognition.
