Extra Innings, Day 1 Recap
Wyatt Flores
Twilight deepened, and Wyatt Flores turned up the heat with his outlaw country fire. The Oklahoma troubadour, all of 23, belted “Please Don’t Go” and “Losing Sleep,” his voice raw with ache and defiance. Since his 2022 breakout, Flores has channeled classic country with a modern edge, winning hearts across the heartland. The crowd pressed closer, hats tipped back, as his tales of love and loss hit home.

Notable Event: During “Please Don’t Go,” Wyatt paused to dedicate it to “anyone who’s ever had to say goodbye too soon.” A hush fell, broken only by a lone harmonica wail, as lighters flickered in the dusk.

Megan Moroney
Penultimate act Megan Moroney lit up the stage with her neon heartbreak anthems. The Georgia peach, in a sparkly fringe jacket, sang “Tennessee Orange” and “I’m Not Pretty,” her voice a blend of sass and ache. Since her 2022 debut, Moroney’s soared in Nashville’s new wave, her confessional country-pop striking gold with fans. The crowd sang every word, a sea of swaying phones capturing the glow.

Notable Event: Mid-set, Megan tossed a signed baseball into the front row, winking, “Extra innings, extra love!” The lucky fan caught it, sparking cheers and a ripple of envy through the masses.
