Kaitlin Butts shows her stuff at Extra Innings Festival, weekend 2.

Kaitlin Butts is a rising star in the Americana scene, with a voice that can soar like a bird or break your heart with a whisper. Her songs are honest, witty and full of emotion, drawing from her experiences as a young woman in the modern world. Butts started singing at an early age, growing up in Oklahoma surrounded by music. She learned to play guitar and piano, and started writing songs when she was 14. She moved to Texas to attend college, where she met her husband and fellow musician Cleto Cordero, the frontman of Flatland Cavalry. They have been performing together ever since, often sharing the stage and harmonizing on each other’s songs. They are one of the most adorable and talented couples in the country music scene.

Butts released her debut album, Same Hell, Different Devil, in 2015, which earned her rave reviews and a loyal fan base. She followed it up with an EP, Wild Rose, in 2018, which showcased her versatility and maturity as a songwriter. She is currently working on her second full-length album, which is expected to be released later this year. She has also been touring extensively, opening for acts like Cody Johnson, Wade Bowen and Turnpike Troubadours. She has a captivating presence on stage, with a charisma and energy that is infectious.
