April Wine is a Canadian rock band formed in 1969. Originally based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, the band enjoyed international success in the 1970s and 1980s, releasing more than 20 albums since 1971. April Wine’s extensive discography includes numerous gold and platinum selling albums featuring mega-hits like ‘Roller’, ‘I Like to Rock’, ‘You Could Have Been a Lady ’ and others. Best known for their international top 40 hit ‘Just Between You And Me’, an iconic power ballad that made them the very first Canadian band on MTV, April Wine went on to release over twenty albums and have received a combined total of 11 Juno Award nominations in the Group Of the Year, Album of the Year, and Best Selling Single categories. In 2009, April Wine was inducted into the Canadian Music Industry Hall of Fame and were honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award for being part of Canadian Music History for 40 years, and in 2010 the band was inducted into Canadian Music Hall of Fame.

British rock band Sweet rose to worldwide fame in the 1970s as a prominent glam rock act. Their musical style followed a marked progression from their pop hits to the Who-influenced hard rock style supplemented by the striking use of high-pitched vocals. Sweet achieved notable success with 39 No. 1 singles worldwide including “Ballroom Blitz,” “Fox On the Run,” “Love Is Like Oxygen,” “Little Willy,” “Blockbuster,” “Hell Raiser,” “Action,” “Teenage Rampage,”  “AC/ DC” “Set Me Free,” and “No You Don’t,”  among others. A series of gold albums resulted in vinyl and CD worldwide sales of over 55 million copies. Sweet left an indelible mark on the ‘70s , not only by way of a string of worldwide hit singles and innovative albums, but also via their unforgettable visual image, whether it be as a glittering, sequined glam band or the leather adorned rockers that pre-dated a host of similarly attire metal bands later in the decade. Joe Elliot from Def Leppard, Nikki Sixx of Motley Crue and Gene Simmons of KISS have all credited Sweet as their inspiration. Sweet original founding member Steve Priest came out of retirement in 2007.

Mr. Priest partnered with drummer Richie Onori and multi-instrumentalist Stevie Stewart to recreate and assemble a group that would deliver the high energy multi hit show to the world. Sweet was off to the races performing thousands of shows around the world. Upon Steve Priest’s untimely exit from this world, Mr. Priest and his Priest Family Trust asked Richie Onori and Stevie Stewart to carry on the Sweet legacy so that music fans around the world will witness the sheer scope and intensity of the British Band Sweet that changed the scope of music. Sweet’s current lineup is Stevie Stewart (Bass/Vocals), Richie Onori (Drums), Jimmy Burkard (Guitar), Dave Schultz (Keys/Vocals) and front man Patrick Stone on (lead vocals). With major track records of their own, the group continues onward, delivering the legacy and tradition with performances that rock the audiences the way Steve Priest proudly insisted must be carried on.
