NYC Instrumental Progressive Rock and Metal Artist King Analog delivers pummeling psychedelia coupled with monolithic grooves on his self-titled debut album. This is the sound of an artist holding space for classic psychedelic rock artists and fusing their influence with riff-heavy modern progressive rock and heavy metal artists like MastodonOpeth, Russian Circles and Tool

The album ‘King Analog’ is a 7-track trip through the untethered sonic imaginings of solo multi-instrumentalist musician and producer Joe Difonzo (King Analog).

King Analog is a trip through Rock goodness, drawing on old school influences such as Jimi Hendrix and Pink Floyd, but with a rhythm section closer to Mastodon. Well known music video Director Zev Deans (who directed Mastodon‘s “More Than I Could Chew” video) worked on the official “Transporter” music video. “Transporter” was mixed by Joel Hamilton at Studio G in Brooklyn. Session drummer James Knoerl plays drums.

Artist Biography:

King Analog is an ongoing project of Guitarist/Bassist Joe Difonzo. After playing in numerous bands in and around NYC, Joe is now focusing on writing and recording his own music at his home studio in CT. King Analog is rooted in 60s/70s rock but with a nice blend of more modern Rock/Metal as well. It might be best described as “Mastodon meets Hendrix”. At his home studio, Joe has a range of old/new analog pedals, tube amps, guitars and recording gear used to create the King Analog sound. He is available for playing, recording or collaborations of all kinds.
