As autumn approaches and Halloween whispers emerge, the spooky songwriting collective LVCRFT has announced their fifth Halloween album, ‘V‘, slated for release on September 29th. Fresh off a stellar weekend at Midsummer Scream, the world’s top Halloween convention, the group is offering a taste of what’s to come with the album’s premiere single “Scream For Halloween,” hinting at a season packed with Halloween hits and eerie escapades. In the meantime, with pumpkin spice season upon us, the group is inviting fans to raise a glass to the start of the season to the sound of their 2022 anthem “Pumpkin Spice Everything.” This tune serves as a tribute to the spooky community’s shared spirit, celebrating the flavors and feelings that unite us all during this enchanting time of year.

“Scream For Halloween” captivated audiences at Midsummer Scream, with LVCRFT’s emcee, Skeleton Sam, leaving an indelible mark with several activations. In line with their penchant for immersive experiences, LVCRFT invited attendees to record themselves screaming at their booth, which they plan to use to create the world’s largest archive of screaming sounds in the world.

Following their 2022 collaboration with Disney+’s record-breaking feature film Hocus Pocus 2, where LVCRFT’s Halloween-hit ‘Skeleton Sam’ was the lead track and the #8 most Shazam’d song in the country, and their collaboration with legendary horror-film composer Christopher Young (Hellraiser, Deliver Us from Evil, Pet Semetary) on their fourth album, Scream Warriors, LVCRFT’s 2023 offering is their fifth album, V. The new release finds the group returning to the fun and jaunty sound that has made them a cult hit, and introduces an intriguing “found audio” theme, narrating Skeleton Sam’s mission to rescue his long-lost love, Serafina. Alongside the album, the group will release a short film in episodic chunks to explore the lore of the LVCRFT universe in a ‘found footage’ style.

LVCRFT is the sinister spawn of spooky-obsessed hitmakers, united to create a year-round supply of hook-filled creepy pop bops that will keep bones tapping well beyond Halloween. LVCRFT is the brainchild of the multi-faceted trio – Evan “Kidd” Bogart, songwriter/creative executive responsible for Beyonce’s GRAMMY Award-winning “Halo” and Rhianna’s worldwide #1 “SOS” – Amanda “MNDR” Warner, the Electro-Pop pioneer who brought us Mark Ronson’s hit “Bang Bang Bang” and Flume’s “Like Water” – GRAMMY Award-winning producer, engineer and songwriter Peter Wade, whose credits include Jennifer Lopez, Martin Solveig, and Flume.  While LVCRFT maintains anonymity with spooky pseudonyms like Lil Punkin, DeepKutz, Norman Crates, Scary Ana Grande to name a few, their “day jobs” have seen them concoct iconic records for Katy Perry, Dua Lipa, Madonna, Lizzo, Charli XCX, Mariah Carey, Amy Winehouse, Kylie Minogue, and countless others, and have collectively amassed billions of streams.

Over the last 4 years, LVCRFT has released 4 albums that have garnered praise from the press and sync community. LVCRFT first made waves in 2019, when their single “Skeleton Sam” became a cult hit, leading GQ to call their 2019 debut This Is Halloween Volume 1, “a clear ancestor of iconic Halloween hits like “The Monster Mash’ & ‘Thriller!,” and Paper Magazine to call their 2020 follow-up, “This musical coven of hitmakers wrote a perfect Halloween album.”

LVCRFT’s music has yielded paranormal partnerships with the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina Season 3, Netflix’s Adam Sandler’s Hubie Halloween, Amazon Prime’s Anna Paquin’s Flackthe L-Word’s Halloween Special, Freeform’s annual  31 Nights of Halloween (theme song “It Must Be Halloween“), a national campaign around the filming of the first official LVCRFT music video in a Spirit Halloween store, a 23 night DJ residency at Shaqtoberfest at the Queen Mary (200k attendance), soundtracking Haunt O’Ween (250k attendance), TikTok, Splice, and a themed radio show on SiriusXM’s Volume with Lyndsey Parker and AFI’s Davey Havok, to further cement LVCRFT’s stake in cult horror-pop music. Nylon declared, “their passionately creepy tunes have shaken the industry.”

V is just the latest project from the Halloween-obsessed hitmaker collective, whose mantra “spooky never sleeps” showcases the power of spooky to lift the spirits all year long.
